v1.0.0Effective: 18 May 2026

Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of the My Doctors Prescription website and platform operated by MDP Medical Ltd (company number 16673751).

By accessing or using our service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

1. The service

My Doctors Prescription provides a digital healthcare platform connecting patients with independent UK-registered clinicians and regulated partner pharmacies. MDP Medical Ltd operates the platform and supporting infrastructure.

2. Eligibility and account security

You must provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account unless you have notified us of unauthorised access.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the platform, interfere with its operation, or use it for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached.

4. Intellectual property

Content on the platform is owned by MDP Medical Ltd or its licensors unless otherwise stated. You may not copy or reuse it except as permitted by law or with our consent.

5. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, MDP Medical Ltd’s liability in connection with your use of the platform is limited as set out in these terms and applicable law. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

6. Changes

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The effective version will be published on this page with a revised effective date.

7. Account status, closure requests and order handling

The platform distinguishes active use from inactive, suspended, and account closure / deletion request states. MDP may apply these states to protect patients, meet regulatory expectations, and keep workflows coherent.

  • Inactive may be used for voluntary pauses, contract non-acceptance, administrative compliance checks, or a self-requested deactivation tied to an account closure request. While you are not in an active state for a given role, you may be unable to start new journeys (for example a new order) even if some records remain for legal retention.
  • Suspension is a serious intervention (for example patient safety, regulatory risk, fraud or security). Suspended accounts have restricted or no normal access as implemented; self-service account closure is not offered while you are suspended in the relevant path.
  • Closure / deletion requests record that you have asked to close your account or organisation as implemented in the product. MDP may disable access, mark profiles inactive where the system does so, clear unpaid baskets through automated lifecycle rules where they apply, and exclude a pharmacy that has requested closure from new automatic dispensing assignment. Paid orders already in progress may still need operational completion, transfer, cancellation or refund under MDP’s processes and UK healthcare expectations; nothing in these Terms guarantees instant erasure of all data while legal retention applies.

Role-specific Clinician and Pharmacy agreements describe additional obligations for prescribers and dispensers.
